Atlantic Trust Opens Its Doors In Delaware

Atlantic Trust, Invesco’s private wealth management business, has opened an office in Wilmington, DE. The new office, the firm’s 12th in the US, is headed up by Dee Ann Schedler, a managing director at the firm. Jeffrey Dillman, also a managing director, is the senior relationship manager. Both will maintain their client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic region. "This strategic move is part of what has been a successful, ongoing effort to expand our business into important wealth markets throughout the nation," said Jack Markwalter, chairman and chief executive of Atlantic Trust. Schedler joined Atlantic Trust in 2004 from SunTrust Bank, where she was a regional managing director in the personal asset management division. Dillman joined in 2008 from Bessemer Trust Company of Delaware, where he was a principal and senior client account manager. In November Atlantic Trust merged its Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD, offices to create Mid-Atlantic headquarters. As part of this it moved its Washington office to 1201 F Street, NW, Suite 900, appointing managing director Andrew Nichols, who has run the Baltimore office since 2006, to lead the combined team. Combined, the Washington, DC, and Baltimore offices had over $1 billion in assets under management as of October 31, representing an increase of 21.8 per cent over the past year, the firm said. It told Family Wealth Report that there would be no staff cuts as a result of the move. "While we're not currently in an active search, we are keeping our eyes open for talented professionals in the DC area to further expand our presence there," a spokesperson said, but "we are not currently hiring in Baltimore."
